On behalf of Portfolio Center, we would like to invite you to Swim or Sink: A Designed Life, a lecture by renowned creative director Joe Duffy on Thursday, July 25 at 9 am.
He describes himself as a designer, creative director, dad, uncle, artist, coach, skier, husband, grandfather, friend and teacher. However, the rest of the world knows him for his collaborative partnerships with advertising agencies and clients, bridging the gap between brand and design development and all other communication disciplines. His client list includes heavy hitters such as BMW, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Sony, Whirlpool, Jim Beam Brands, Nikon and more.
As an expert in branding, Duffy brings a deep understanding of how design can enrich lives. At Duffy & Partners, the mission is to demonstrate the “designed life”. By making wise decisions and developing solutions that fit the lives of the consumers, Duffy believes design can drive economic success and make positive change in society.
“Duffy Design has withstood the winds of fashion, the elitism of the design industry, the economic recession and the consolidation of what was an industry of individuality. Today, Duffy remains a premiere problem-solver for brands with a future.”
— John C Jay, Co-Executive Creative Director, Wieden + Kennedy, Tokyo
This is a free event open to students, professionals, AIGA members and non-members alike.
