Craftworks: Bookbinding

Lead by Instructor, Ed Popovitz, this workshop will explore the fine craft of bookbinding. According to historical evidence and wikipedia, the first time someone bound a book dates back to the good old days when Mayans ruled Mexico and Egyptians built the pyramids. Today, bookbinding is a craft that can be enjoyed by all ages and all levels of craftiness. And depending on your creative prowess, handbound books can be a thing of beauty.

Admission includes a two-hour, hands-on workshop at Soapoint Graphics, one of Denver’s finest urban print shops. Not only will you leave with a finished handbound product, but you will have gained the skills and be given the supplies to bind your own book at home.
