We’re living through a particularly fraught—almost surreal—moment in American history, when it feels as though communication, language, and civility have devolved and fractured along party lines. I take comfort in the shared, enduring truths found in literature and scientific inquiry. This quote from BRAVE NEW WORLD by Aldous Huxley feels more relevant today than ever, and it reminds me that we can push back against troubling recent trends and return to a kinder, more grounded place of shared truths, experiences, and ideas.
