About the work
“Put Down Your Phone is a poster about how the short video and the internet overtook a generation’s life. I opened my own iPhone time tracker and I was shocked that I spent 6 hours on my phone every day. After more research, I found that it is a very common “invisible” problem for my generation to surf the internet. However, I decided to make a poster to alarm people to put down their phones and focus more on real life. In this poster, I used 2281 hand-drawn lines as metaphors 2281 hours I spend on my phone. It is a warning to me, as well as the society, to realize the waste of time on digital devices.”
