Dyslexia Simulation

by Ana Farnham

Artist Statement

This poster simulates what it is like to have dyslexia. It is not an exact translation as dyslexia is different for everyone, but it makes the viewer stop and struggle to read the word displayed before them. An outlined version of the letters in the word Dyslexia are rotated repeatedly to form the mandalas surrounding each letter as some dyslexic individuals see letters backward or rotated. The contrast is intentionally low to make it more difficult to read.
