Join AIGA Maine for the Portland opening of the 2026 AIGA Maine Poster Show, our annual exhibition celebrating the power of poster design and visual communication.
This year’s theme, language, invited designers, illustrators, and artists to explore how language shapes how we communicate, connect, and express identity. From typography and symbols to cultural narratives and experimental communication, the selected works showcase a wide range of creative perspectives from Maine and beyond.
This free opening reception takes place during Portland’s First Friday Art Walk. Stop by to see the work, meet fellow creatives, and celebrate Maine’s design community.
Seventy-five posters were submitted by the community, with 30 selected for this year’s juried exhibition, curated by Amy Hausmann, Executive Director of the Maine Arts Commission.
All 30 selected posters will be on view during the opening. Due to space limitations, 20 posters (chosen at random) will remain on display throughout the month of May and will be available to view during Flatiron’s regular business hours.
