Don your finest "after 5" attire and join the best of Austin's design
community as we recognize the achievements of 2013 Fellow Award
recipient Lowell Williams. The evening will include a full course
meal, drinks and celebration of Lowell’s work.

About our 2013 Fellow Award recipient Lowell Williams:
In his early career, Lowell worked in Los Angeles with legendary
designer and filmmaker Saul Bass. In 1975 he established Lowell
Williams Design in Houston. Lowell joined Pentagram, the international
design consultancy, as a partner in their San Francisco office in
1991, prior to opening Pentagram’s Austin office in 1994. In 2007 he
reestablished Lowell Williams Design, also in Austin. Lowell is a
frequent speaker on design and his work has won critical acclaim from
the design community over the years.

About the Fellow Award:
The Fellow Award program is a means of recognizing mature designers
who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of
excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional
design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter. The areas of
education, writing, leadership and reputation, as well as the practice
of design are given equal consideration in measuring significant
contribution.

In addition to the gala, we honor the Fellow Award recipients at our
Annual Membership Party and the nominating committee, largely composed
of our Advisory Committee members. AIGA Austin has previously
recognized two Fellows: DJ Stout (of Pentagram Design), in 2010, and
Mike Hicks (Hixo, Inc.), in 2007.
